This marine sampling survey (2016/3_MSS1316S) took place in September 2016 in the area of Faroe-Shetland Channel on board the Fisheries Research Vessel Scotia. The survey was carried out jointly by the British Geological Survey, University of Aberdeen and Marine Scotland Science. The aim of the survey was to achieve MOREDEEP project objectives. Objective 5 – Obtain sediment samples from FSC and cold seep site using gravity core. Seabed samples were collected using a gravity corer. These data are archived by BGS. Technical details of the survey are contained in the Report of Survey (pending provision).
