abstract This Survey records the sampling undertaken by the EA within the inshore area (within 20 metre depth contour) of the Padstow Bay and Surrounds MCZ, to allow adequate verification and characterisation of the surface sediment and benthic communities within the site. The Briggs Marine coastal survey vessels ‘Severn Guardian’ and ‘Solent Guardian’ were used to carry out the survey work. These data are archived with the Marine Environmental Data and Information Network (MEDIN) Data Archive Centres (DACs) including the British Geological Survey (BGS) DAC for geology and geophysics, The Archive for Marine Species and Habitats Data (DASSH) and the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) bathymetry DAC. The full site data package including raw is also available on request from BGS.
additional_info For more detailed information on the acquisition equipment and data collection techniques, operational standards, data processing methods and quality control procedures used on this survey see the Report of Survey/Cruise Report and associated documentation where available. Data are checked and loaded to the BGS Coastal and Marine data management system following BGS marine data management procedures.
