| abstract |
This sampling survey has been carried out by British Geological Survey (BGS) for BGS, the survey took place in July 1974 in the North Sea, south Forties area on board the MV Briarthorn. The purpose was to collect data as part of a pockmark study in conjunction with geophysical survey 1974/BR/2. Sample data were collected using gravity corer. Bad weather disrupted the survey and only 4 cores were obtained. These data are archived by BGS. Technical details of the survey are contained in BGS report WB/MI/74/12.
