| abstract |
This sampling survey was undertaken by Institute of Geological Sciences (IGS) now British Geological Survey (BGS) on behalf of the Ministry of Defence took place in August 1971 in Cardigan Bay on board the MV Whitethorn. The work was undertaken under a commercial contract between BGS, Brown Brothers (site investigation) and the Ministry of Defence. Sea bed samples (three boreholes) were drilled using shell and auger method. These records are archived by BGS. No BGS survey report currently available.
