abstract This British Geological Survey (BGS) Geophysical Trials survey took place from 12 to 25 January 1971 in the Irish Sea on board the John Murray. The purpose was to test and evaluate new instruments for future use. The equipment on trial included Refraction system, Airgun, High-res Boomer, Hydrophones, Huntec tape recording system, seismic recorders.
