abstract This British Geological Survey (BGS) regional geophysical and sampling survey took place in July- August 1970 in Lyme Bay on board the TS Somerset. Surface records were obtained from Echo-Sounder, Sidescan Sonar and Transit sonar . Sub-surface data were gathered using a 500J Sparker. Seabed samples were collected by Shipek grab. Tidal observations were carried out. These data are archived by BGS. Cruise report, Marine Geophysics Report no. 12. Summary details of the survey are contained in IGS Internal Report 79/10.
