| abstract |
This marine geophysical survey undertaken for NERC took place in July 1997 on board MV Western Cove and MV Jeff Chouest on the western margin of the Rockall Trough.The objective of the Rockall Large aperture Reflection Experiment was to produce a seismic image and velocity profile of the structures and lithologies present beneath the basalt layers.

The RRS Challenger was used to deploy and recover a line of 40 Ocean bottom seismometers and measure sound velocity profiles. Survey details contained in BGS report: WB/97/31C.
