This British Geological Survey (BGS) regional marine sampling survey (comprised of five legs) took place from May to August 1980 in North Sea and west of Shetland on board the MV Whitethorn. Seabed samples and cores were collected using Shipek grab, Gravity corer, Vibrocorer and Midi drill. These data are archived by BGS.Geotechnical analysis details are contained in BGS internal report EGS/80/4. Technical details of the survey are contained in BGS Internal Report 80/4-7, 9.
