abstract This British Geological Survey (BGS) regional marine sampling survey took place from July to September 1979 in Southern North Sea, Celtic Sea and English Channel on board the MV Whitethorn. Seabed samples and cores were collected using Shipek grab, Gravity corer and Vibrocorer. These data are archived by BGS. Technical details of the survey are contained in a BGS Internal Report.
