| abstract |
This British Geological Survey (BGS) marine survey took place in October 1977 in the Lizard area on board the RRS John Murray. This first leg (JM12/77 survey) was to undertake natural radioactivity and neutron activation and geochemical surveys in the Western English Channel, the second leg JM12/77 survey consisted entirely of geochemical sampling in the Northern North Sea (see survey 1977/JM/2 for details of second leg). Geophysical equipment used comprised of Sidescan sonar and sparker. Seabed samples and cores were collected using ???. A geochemical eel was also used. These data are archived by BGS.
