| abstract |
This geophysical and sampling survey has been carried out by Institute of Geological Sciences now British Geological Survey (BGS) for BGS, the survey took place in September 1975 mainly in the area of Haig Fras on board the MV Gardline Locator. Shallow geophysical surey work took place at night with sampling operations during the day.The purpose was to collect data as part of the UK regional mapping programme. Sub-bottom profiling data were collected using pinger and sparker. Sea-bed samples were collected using a gravity corer and shipek grab. These data are archived by BGS.
